Sottile Park is a public, municipal park of the City of Pittsfield.  It is open to all to enjoy.  Further, it is open to all parties who are interested in performing or having an event at Sottile Park.  To do so, one must comply with the procedures, rules, and regulations set for by The City.  The application must be approved by The City.

Loitering littering, drinking alcoholic beverages, sleeping, and other disorderly conduct is prohibitive by law.

The Park is literally built on a bridge over CSX railroad tracks.  Therefore, it is of particular fascinations to young children who most normally are with young mothers, of which many may be pregnent with a future child.  Because benches are limited, it is requested that courtesy be given to these mothers and other people who show a need for resting.

Suggestions for park events are encouraged.  To facilitate interested parties' applications for the use of the park. I have included a link to the city webpage specifically for this purpose.  CLICK HERE!  The page contains further intformation, a downloadable application, and contracts within the City of Pittsfield.

During the months of May through October, The City of Pittsfield celebrates a monthly event called "Third Thursday" which is held on every Third Thursday of the months during that period.  This is a highly successful "street fair" which draws up to 10,000 people.   As stated, scheduling of the Park for Third Thursdays resides in the Office of Cultural Development.
