Loretta's Millinery Salon was founded in
the mid 1930s as a niche, North Street store in Pittsfield MA. It thrived until the late 1950s... then closed.
Since then, Loretta's Millinery Salon has
been but a memory, except for artifacts such as the heat-able hat stretcher on my desk.
Today, a new Loretta's thrives online,
as an Amazon Affiliate. The eStore is without the burdens of physical retailing and with the ability to offer a selection,
which was unimaginable "back-in-the-day," through designers and vendors whose goods and services are under Amazon's Protection
Plan.
Without doubt, the Kentucky Derby attracts
women to hats as it does racing tradition to the present. It is an exciting sporting event for fashion from clubhouse classy
down to infield casual.
With the Derby and possible Triple Crown upon us, Loretta's opens its virtual doors with its 2018 "Run For the Roses" Spring & Summer Collection.
